A material tradition, kept working
Water buffalo horn is a by-product of local agriculture; mother of pearl comes from farmed shell. Both are cut, heated, pressed, shaped and polished by hand — a sequence of steps that has not changed much in a century. What has changed is consistency: we grade every batch, document dimensions and finish, and can repeat a run for a wholesale customer months later.
Because these are natural materials, colour and pattern vary from piece to piece. We consider that the point rather than a defect.
